An innocent teenage girl was shot by a stray bullet and a 24-year-old man was stabbed in the behind in separate attacks just a minute and a couple city blocks apart Sunday evening, according to cops and sources.
The shocking spurt of simultaneous bloodshed happened soon after the Big Apple’s Mexican Day Parade wrapped up nearby.
A 17-year-old girl was struck by a bullet in the left shoulder on the corner of 27th Street and Park Avenue in Rose Hill around 5:01 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The teen was an unintended target of the gunfire, according to sources.
One minute before the shooting, a 24-year-old man was stabbed in the right buttocks just around the corner on 28th Street and Madison Avenue, cops said.
Both victims in the unrelated attacks were transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, according to authorities.
A person of interest is currently in custody for the shooting of the 17-year-old girl, police said.
The man in custody has over 20 prior arrests, according to sources, but has not been officially charged with the crime.
There have been no arrests yet in the stabbing of the 24-year-old man, cops added.
The two incidents happened an hour after the Mexican Day Parade festivities ended on 27th Street and Madison Avenue.
The two incidents are still under investigation. Police do not believe they are connected.
