Troubled rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine said he was handcuffed for six hours as federal authorities raided his Florida mansion — where they seized drugs and guns.
The 28-year-old, rainbow-haired rapper — real name Daniel Hernandez — told TMZ that police and federal agents busted into his home Wednesday morning and tore up the place while they bound his hands from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that its narcotics squad joined federal probation officers in searching Hernandez’s mansion, where he is under house arrest.
The Brooklyn native said the officers took DNA samples from him and confiscated guns and drugs to test for traces of his DNA.
The sheriff’s office confirmed that it took items for additional analysis, but did not specify if they included drugs and guns, as the rapper said.
Hernandez insisted that he’s done nothing wrong and has been just hanging out while riding out the remainder of his house arrest.
He was not arrested as there was no probable cause at the time, according to TMZ.
The officers reportedly decided to handcuff the rapper during the raid for their own safety.
Hernandez, who is from Bushwick, in November was handed a 45-day prison sentence, followed by 30 days’ house incarceration, 30 days’ home detention and 30 days of curfew for violating the terms of his probation.
Hernandez had been sentenced to two years in prison in 2019 after he pleaded guilty to accusations that he joined and directed violence by a gang known as the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods — but was let out in April 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic due to his medical conditions.
He was arrested again in November 2024 after his probation officer complained that he had failed drug tests and was traveling without permission.
Hernandez also has a pending case in the Dominican Republic for a variety of charges, including domestic violence, battery and a failure to appear.
