Harrowing footage captured the violent clash between two men on a Brooklyn subway car — and the sheer panic among commuters after one of the brawlers was shot aboard the rush-hour train Thursday.

The video, shot by a commuter on northbound A train, corroborated earlier witness accounts shared with police, showing one man instigating another before at least four gunshots rang out on the packed train as it pulled into the A/C Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets station.

Police said the agitator, 36, was shot with his own gun when the other man, 32, managed to grab it away from him and open fire.

But before the shooting, the two strangers tussled for several minutes as others on the train pleaded for them to stop, noting there were children aboard.

A man wearing a yellow hat was berating a stranger moments after boarding the northbound A train at the Nostrand Avenue station.

“I’ll beat you up!,” the 36-year-old, wearing a black sweatshirt and yellow baseball cap, can be seen shouting in the other man’s face, according to the video obtained by The Post.

“F–k your kind. F–k your race. F–k you,” the instigator shouted as he hurled threats at the man and egged him on to stand up for himself.

The 32-year-old, wearing a yellow shirt and black jacket, tried to ignore the relentless threats, but ultimately jumped out of his seat at the back of the car and put up his fist after being berated for nearly two minutes.

The aggressor then screamed: “Let’s get it!”

Commuters sitting in close proximity, who had tried to ignore the violent ramblings, also sprung from their seats and moved away from the men.

The agitator had told his victim that he only likes black people, adding “f–k your kind.”

The two danced around one another, occasionally throwing fists, as straphangers begged them to stop.

“Come on, there’s babies on here!” one woman can be heard pleading.

The aggressor then pounced on the other man, pushing him onto a two-seater and delivering several blows.

A young woman then intervened and punched the 36-year-old’s back, which caused him to immediately turn his ire on her.

The original agitator accused a female bystander of stabbing him when she tried to intervene in the fight.

A man wearing a reflective vest was successful in separating the two brawlers, but the younger man rushed to stand in front of the young woman.

“I’m bleeding. You stabbed me, right?” the aggressor asked the woman, with blood visibly beginning to drip down his back.

“I didn’t do nothing,” the young woman said back.

The 36-year-old then threw down his jacket onto the seat and slowly began rifling through the pockets while shouting at the woman.

After several seconds, he pulled out a gun, cocked it and charged at the 32-year-old.

The packed train car erupted into screams and the straphangers rushed to the opposite side of the car, with several throwing themselves on the ground.

The rest of the fight wasn’t filmed, but at least four distinct gunshots were heard just as the train pulled into the A/C Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets station — which houses the NYPD’s 30th transit precinct.

The woman filming the video desperately screamed “let me out!” in the seconds before the doors opened, and the panicked commuters bolted onto the platform and directly out of the station toward the street.

The gunman was arrested, but it’s not clear whether he’ll face any charges.

Police said the 32-year-old — who was confronted by the screaming man — had managed to wrestle the gun away during the struggle and use it against his attacker.

He was arrested before he even stepped onto the platform, Kemper said.

The 36-year-old man was rushed to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition and is undergoing surgery.

The subway car at the station was “covered with blood and ballistics” when police arrived, a source said.

A small caliber firearm was recovered from the scene.

It is not clear whether the shooter will face any charges, with police stating that the “victim appears to be the aggressor.”
